Working Principle

The Disc Type RF Admittance Level Switch operates on the principle of measuring capacitance changes to detect the level of a medium. It consists of a sensing rod and a guard electrode, both immersed in the material being measured. When the sensing rod is in air, the capacitance between the rod and the guard electrode is at a certain level. As the medium (liquid or solid) rises and contacts the rod, it alters the capacitance due to the dielectric properties of the medium. This change is detected by the electronic circuit, which continuously monitors the capacitance. When the capacitance reaches a predetermined threshold, indicating that the medium has reached a certain level, the switch activates. This can trigger an alarm, control a pump, or provide a signal to a control system, ensuring accurate level monitoring and control.
